Getting Hurt While Playing
A social story that explains how to handle and avoid getting injured in play areas.
One day while playing, I had a little accident. I tripped and hurt myself on the knee, and there was some blood too. It hurt, and I felt sad, but I knew accidents can happen.
My grandma was there to help me. She cleaned my wound and put a bandage on it. She hugged me and told me it's okay to get hurt sometimes. She also told me how brave I am.
I realized that getting hurt doesn't mean I can't have fun. I took a break, watched my friends play, and soon, I felt better.
I learned to be more careful. Now, when I play, I pay attention to where I'm going and remember to use the equipment safely.
Playground adventures can be super fun, and I'm growing stronger and smarter every day.
If I ever get hurt again, I know it's just a part of life's adventures, and I'll get through it with the help of my grown-ups and a positive attitude.
